In the vibrant city of Indianapolis, this year's AOPA National Assembly held in September was a groundbreaking event that centered around the theme of driving innovation in the field. Attendees were treated to a plethora of cutting-edge topics and revolutionary advancements, making it a truly memorable experience.

This year the American Academy for Orthotists and Prosthetists held its annual meeting in Nashville, Tennessee, on March 1-4, 2023. The yearly conference brings individuals from across the globe to collaborate and explore new ideas from practitioners to researchers.

Serving my duties as Past-Chair of the National Commission for Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE), I attended the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA) national assembly in San Antonio Texas from September 28- October 1, 2022.

Earlier this year, I attended the latest coding and billing seminar. This seminar was a great follow-up to my trip to Washington DC to advocate on Capitol Hill for Medicare benefits. The billing and coding seminar is an annual two-day course that provides the latest updates for coding rules on prosthetic components.

Every year the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association makes a trip to Washington DC for an event we call the Policy Forum.
